Gustav-Adolf Mossa (1883-1971) is a French symbolist painter, late in the movement of Gustave Moreau, Lucien Lévy-Dhurmer, Ed- gar Maxence or Émile-René Ménard. Steeped in his readings, Mallarmé, Baudelaire, Huysmans, he was inspired by the masters of the Quattrocento, the Pre-Raphaelites, Art Nouveau.
