4to. 22 tipped-in color plates, numerous illustrations. Original vellum parchment elaborately gilt decorated and stamped, original green silk ties; and original slipcase.
Signed by the illustrator. J. M. Barrie's comedy was first performed in 1901 and enjoyed frequent revivals. The play provided the name for the confectionery first manufactured in 1936. The play was first filmed in 1927 and a second adaptation, starring Katharine Hepburn, was released in 1937. Reviewing the volume in December 1913, the Times Literary Supplement noted that "with Hugh Thomson's irresistible illustrations in colour it is a book not merely to like, but to love".
