The binding is in very good condition with only minor rubbing to corners. Top edge of text is gilt. Title and author are in gilt on spine. Front cover has circular gilt embossed Eskimo (Inuit) tent and fishing gear. Internal condition is very good with only minor foxing, mainly along edges. An exceptionally bright copy. This is an account of a journey from Juneau, via Chilkoot Pass and Lake LeBarge, to the Klondike, thence down the Yukon River to St. Michael, also a two-month sojourn among the Chukchis of Cape Chaplina, Chukotsk Penninsula (Arctic Bibliog. 3939).
